Dr. William B. Drake
During his 10-year term as President of Midway College, a small private liberal arts school in Kentucky, William B. Drake, Jr. accomplished significant results. The institution realized a tripled enrollment and endowment, achieved a masters level change with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, expanded the campus size from 100 to 200 acres and built over 160,000 square feet of laboratories, classrooms and offices while adding no long-term debt.
Because of his entrepreneurial, resourceful spirit of leadership, students realized their educational goals through accelerated program formats online. The college recorded the greatest enrollment growth in its history and expanded its mission in serving more students in need of a special, nurturing environment.
Dr. Drake currently serves as Managing Partner for Drake, Marcum and Associates, LLC. He is a Member of the Registry of College and University Presidents and served as a Trustee for the Commission on Colleges, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (2009-2012).
Dr. Drake holds a D.Min. from the Lexington Theological Seminary (LTS) in Pastoral Care and Counseling; an M.Div. from LTS in Old Testament and a BA from Transylvania University in Biology. He holds certifications as a Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant.Contact Me
Judy W. Marcum
During her eight-year term as Dean of Online Education, Midway College tripled its enrollment due in large measure to the online initiative. This growth occurred by adding 350 online courses and 22 degree programs. By 2012, more than half the credit hours for Midway were generated by the online college producing $8 million in revenue. Responsibilities included online academics and admission, nursing and science division (supervising 34 employees) and liaison to the trustees.
Ms. Marcum currently serves as a Managing Partner for Drake, Marcum and Associates, LLC. Selected distance education presentations include: Sloan C, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Mid-South Educational Research Association and The Learning House Connect Conference. She is a member of Rotary and serves as Coordinator of the District 6740 Leadership Institute.
Ms. Marcum holds an MBE from Morehead State University and a BA in Education from the University of Kentucky.Contact Me
